Jonathan Baileytook the opportunity to show off his insanely toned legs at aWickedphotocall in Australia donning a pair of black pleated shorts that rival Mescal’s beloved 5-inch inseams.

Bailey, 36, posed with castmatesJeff Goldblum,Cynthia ErivoandAriana Grandein Sydney on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Along with his daringly short shorts, theBridgertonactor wore a sheer black long-sleeve polo shirt. He accessorized with a pair of black loafers and black sunglasses.

In the upcoming adaptation of the famed Broadway musical, Bailey plays Fiyero, the love interest of Elphaba (Erivo).

Bailey’s ensemble was a sharp contrast to the method dressing that Erivo, 37, and Grande, 31, have embraced during the promo tour. True to their characters' signature color palettes, Erivo opted for an emerald green top with black embroidery and a black lacy skirt. She accessorized with a black and white fascinator and sky-high platform shoes.

Grande, meanwhile, sported a white strapless crop top with pink details that matched her pink pleated skirt. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a sleek bun.

Bailey previously told PEOPLE aboutworking with Erivo. “Having watched her perform and doing opposite her and just seeing what she’s doing is pretty incredible,” he said of the Grammy-, Emmy- and Tony-winning actress.

TheFellow Travelersstar also commended the rest of the cast, which includesMichelle YeohandBowen Yang. “Everyone who’s involved is a theater nerd," Bailey said, adding that group is now “completely bonded for life.”

On the Broadway Podcast Network’sSentimental Menpodcast, Grande recalled the cast crying “every day” on set. “Me, everyone, we all cried every day,” the singer said on the Friday, Nov. 1 episode.
