The couple, who have been dating since May 2023, confirmed the happy news to PEOPLE at the EBONY Power 100 Gala in November 2024.

TheCreed IIIactor and theShazam: Fury of the Godsactress addressed their relationship publicly for the first time when they appeared at the Congressional Black Caucus’ eighth annual Black and White Gala together in September 2023. At the event, Majors referred to Good as “the missus.”

In December 2023, Majors wasfound guilty of misdemeanor assaultin the third degree, recklessly causing physical injury and harassment in the second degree, which is a violation. He was latersentencedto participate in a one-year domestic violence treatment program.

TheThink Like a Manactress was previously married to DeVon Franklin before theirsplit in December 2021. The exes finalized their divorce in June 2022, just a week after what would have been their 10th anniversary.

PEOPLE confirmedthe pair were datingafter Majors and Good were spotted going on a date at the Alamo Drafthouse in Los Angeles to see a movie. The news came after Majors appeared virtually in court the same week following his arrest and charges of assault and harassment.

May 15, 2023: A source tells PEOPLE that Meagan Good has given Jonathan Majors “support” amid allegations

TheHarlemactress grew closer to Majors amid his assault charges and their friendship turned romantic during that time, a source told PEOPLE.

“Meagan and Jonathan have maintained a friendshipfor some time,” the source said.

“Meagan has shown considerable support towards him,” the insider continued.  “It seems their relationship has developed further from that point.”

May 22, 2023: Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are spotted traveling together

The pair were photographed holding hands as they disembarked from an airplane. They weretraveling from N.Y.C. to L.A. togetheras Majors awaited his next court date.

Majors wore a brown suit while Good was in a white dress and light brown blazer. During the appearance, Majors only said good morning to the judge and acknowledged her instructions to appear in court on August 3 for his trial.

June 28, 2023: A source tells PEOPLE Meagan Good’s friends are respecting her “decisions” as she gets “more serious” with Jonathan Majors

While Good may have gotten some backlash for dating Majors due to the allegations against him, her friends were supportive of her decision to date whomever she wanted, a source close to the actress told PEOPLE.

“It’s obviously not the best situation, butthey’re letting her make her own decisions,” the source said. “It’s been a little stunning to see her go from [ex-husband DeVon Franklin], with faith at the center of their marriage, to Jon, but also understandable why she’d go for someone who’s totally different after being with the same person for so long and not having it work out.”

The source added that Good’s divorce from Franklin was “tough” for her. “Her divorce was very tough for her to process, and thedecision to end the marriageis something both she and DeVon took very seriously,” the source said, adding that she “has a really, really good heart.”

The source also added that Good and Majors’ relationship was growing “more serious.”

“She and Jonathan are taking it slow, but it’s definitely progressing and getting more serious,” they said. “She wouldn’t be out and about with him so publicly or be supporting him in his legal situation if the relationship didn’t mean something to her.”

Majors and Good were photographedholding hands once againoutside the Manhattan Criminal Court as he appeared for the second time during his domestic violence case.

August 9, 2023: Meagan Good spends her birthday with Jonathan Majors

Goodcelebrated her 42nd birthday with her boyfriend. The pair were photographed walking in West Hollywood, California.

Majors did not, however, make an appearance in Good’sInstagram carouselcelebrating her birthday where she posed in a strapless green gown.

September 24, 2023: Jonathan Majors calls Meagan Good “the missus” in a speech

In her speech, captured in avideo clip posted on X, Good passed the mic to Majors.

“We’re just so happy to be here with y’all tonight, celebrating us, celebrating the moves we’re making, celebrating the way we love and support each other, the way that we shift the world. Let’s enjoy ourselves!” Good said.

“So many beautiful Black faces. I love us, y’all! We are so beautiful! That’s all I got. I’m just happy to be here and I love y’all!” she continued before turning it over to Majors. “Babe, you want to say anything?”

Majors then said, “Y’all heard the missus, so that’s what it is.”

September 25, 2023: A source confirms to PEOPLE that Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are not married

After Majors called Good “the missus” and caused speculation that he and Good were married, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the two werestill in the dating phase of their relationship.

Both Good and Majors rep did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

December 4, 2023: Meagan Good supports Jonathan Majors during his trial

When Majors' trial began on Nov. 29, 2023, Good accompanied him to court,holding his handas they entered the courtroom together. She continued to make appearances as the trial went on, always showing solidarity with the actor.

“Jonathan’s challenging period has furthersolidified their relationship,” a source close to the couple told PEOPLE. “Meagan’s courage and resilience have been an unwavering source of support for him.”

The actress sat behind him in a reserved seat in the front row of the courthouse and placed her hand on his back multiple times as they walked in and out.Good’s mother also joined themin the courtroom as the trial began.

December 18, 2023: Jonathan Majors is found guilty in misdemeanor trial

Majors was found guilty of misdemeanor assault in the third degree after a two-week-long trial. In the days leading up to the verdict, his lawyer delivered a closing statement urging his innocence, leading to both Majors and Goodgetting emotionalas they listened.

As Chaudhry ended her statement, a tear rolled down Majors' cheek which he wiped with his coat sleeve. Meanwhile, Good wiped her eyes with a tissue while Majors' mother put her arm around her shoulder.

February 9, 2023: A source tells PEOPLE Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good moved in together

Despite Majors' guilty verdict, a source told PEOPLE that he and Good were still “solid and very much in love.” The insider added the two even moved into the Greenwich Village neighborhood of N.Y.C. together where they share a 3-month-old Belgian Malinois puppy.

The source also confirmed the two had recently taken a cross-country road trip from Los Angeles to N.Y.C. with a stop in Texas to visit Majors' mom.

March 3, 2024: Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good make their red carpet debut

The couple posed for photos on the red carpet for the first time at the 7th annual African-American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) Special Achievement Awards Luncheon in Los Angeles, where they shared a brief update about their relationship withExtra.

“In love…We’re doing good, thanks for asking,” Majors said when he was asked how they’re doing.

Good added, “We’re doing great. God’s good.”

April 8, 2024: Meagan Good joins Jonathan Majors at his sentencing hearing in New York City

After being found guilty of assault and harassment, a judgesentenced Majorsto attend a one-year “batterers” intervention program in Los Angeles, continue his mental-health counseling and stay away from his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

Good attended the hearing in support of theLovecraft Countryactor.

Two months after Majors received his sentence, he and Goodwalked the red carpetand posed for photos together at the 2024 NAACP Theatre Awards in Los Angeles. Majors wore a gray suit, while Good wore a pink gown with a thigh high slit.

July 10, 2024: Meagan Good says Jonathan Majors encouraged her not to date him

During an interview with PEOPLE, Good opened up about the early days of her relationship with Majors.

“He actuallytried to encourage me not to be with him. He wanted to protect me,” she said. “I was like, ‘My love, first of all, you’re dealing with a Black Leo.' And also, I grew up in this industry. The things that I’ve been through gave me the bandwidth to love other people, regardless.”
