Judith Light Says She Might Be Too Busy for aWho's the Boss?Reboot, but Would Be 'Delighted' to Join

Judith Lightlooks back on herWho’s The Boss?days with fondness.

In an interview withVarietypublished on Sunday, Nov. 3, the actress, 75, opened up about the rumored reboot of the 1980s sitcom in which she starred as a powerful ad executive alongsideTony Danza, who played a single dad and former pro baseball player working as her live-in housekeeper.

Light said she would be “delighted” to return to the characters and see where their stories have taken them — though it’s not quite that simple.

“In terms of where I am and the workload that I have right now, I don’t know what my availability would be,” theBeforestar shared.

“When I started my career, I said I’d never do a soap opera and I’d never do a sitcom,” she continued. “Well, I did both those things. Then I said I would nevermarry an actor. And I did just that. So, I learned to never say never.”

Deadlinepreviously reportedin June 2022 that the Micelli-Bower family wouldreturn in aWho’s the Boss?sequelat Amazon Freevee that would pick up 30 years after the original’s 1992 finale. But in December 2023, the series was still awaiting a green light, and no updates have been shared since.

“Getting closer. If you know what I mean. 😉😉,” Milano wrote, referencing the show’s upcoming revival series. “Also, if you’re in LA and you like to smile — go see Tony at The Catalina Jazz Club. So good.”

“My forever tv daughter,” Danza captioned the photo. “Love you @milano_alyssa and thank you for being there for me.”

Light said she was happy to have the opportunity to work with Crystal, as the pair have been friends for decades.

“Somebody once said that a soulmate isn’t just someone who completes you,” she toldVarietyof the series. “A soulmate is someone who encourages you to complete yourself. And that’s my function in this story.”
