While this isn’t a full return to public royal work, it’s a step forward for the Princess of Wales, 42, that came two months exactly after she announced on Sept. 9 that she hadcompleted chemotherapy.
“Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she said in an emotional video message alongside Prince William, 42, and their childrenPrince George, 11,Princess Charlotte, 9, andPrince Louis, 6. “I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”
Two such occasions took place for Remembrance events — here are the best photos from the poignant weekend.

It is connected to what he said about this being a ‘brutal’ year. I guess you can only imagine that he had witnessed a pretty arduous situation for her, through this year.““He is not known for expressing his emotions in that way. It was solicitous and protective in a very understandable way. There was a reason behind it, she was going into a big event where she was going to be on display,” Bedell Smith adds. “There was an element of reassurance in the way he was behaving.”
