Kim Kardashian Unveils Towering Christmas Tree: How It Compares to Her Controversial Decorations of Years Past

Kim Kardashianis officially kicking off Christmas 2024!

Kim is no stranger to extravagant holiday displays. The reality star has become known for showcasing elaborateChristmas decorin her Hidden Hills, Calif. residence over the years, and even sparked some controversy with a unique display she debuted in 2018.

A celebrity event planning experttold PEOPLEat the time that the entire party likely cost about 1.3 million dollars, with the sculptures alone costing around $10,000 apiece.

“It’s like a winter wonderland Whoville,” Kim said of the sculptures, referencing the Dr. Seuss classicHow The Grinch Stole Christmas,while showcasing a hallway lined with the puffy white “trees.”

The Kardashiansstar brought the expensive installation back for several more Christmases and even shared photos of her children playing hide and seek in them in 2020.

“If you didn’t think I would bring back Whoville in the house…” the mother of four said in her post.

In 2023, theSKKN BY KIMfounder shared how she decorates her kids' bedrooms in addition to the rest of the house. Daughter North, now 11, posted a videoto TikTokshowcasing the decorations, which included a Christmas tree covered in pink handbags.

The Kardashian-Jenner family are also fans of an elaborate Elf on the Shelf display for the little ones.

In 2022, the mom of four shared that North created an elf-on-the-shelf display for her younger siblings, even making a “makeup artist” elf for her younger sister, Chicago, 6.

That same year, Kim revealed that she also decorated her primary bathroom for the holidays. The display featured a line of snow-dusted trees lit with white lights lining the massive space’s wall-to-wall windows.
