Kristen Bell and Jessica Alba Are Inspiring Us to Ditch Denim for This Comfy Alternative

Last month, in New York City, both stars stepped out in looks that included dark, A-line midi skirts. Bell sported a monochromatic all-black look, pairing the skirt with kitten heels, a blouse, sunglasses, and a tiny purse. Days later, Alba wore a flowing dark navy midi skirt with stilettos andan oversized blazer. As a New Yorker, I’m a big fan of wearing all black, but I’m most drawn to their similar skirts.

A black midi skirt can be styled for so many different occasions. I wore one just last night with loafers, a strapless top, and a trench coat, but you can also easily wear the style for the daytime with a T-shirt, denim jacket, and sneakers. The versatility of this piece is the reason I always pack one when I travel.
