Kylie Jenner Reveals What Really Happened Between Her and Former BFF Jordyn Woods: 'I Was Heartbroken'

Kylie JennerandJordyn Woods’public reunion in July 2023shocked fans as the former BFFs had finally come back together after four years — but it turns out they were never that far apart to begin with.

Jenner, 27, said she and Woods, 27, never had a “full cold-turkey cutoff” in terms of their communication in the aftermath of Woods’cheating scandalwithKhloé Kardashian’s then-boyfriendTristan Thompson.

“I was heartbroken,” Jenner toldELLEin the November cover story of the initial scandal. “To lose that person felt really lonely, but I had to go through that. I learned so much, gained so much independence, and was there for myself. It helped me grow up a little bit, because we were so attached at the hip.”

Looking back, she said “it was needed distance” for the pair.

“I think that in order for us both to grow, she needed to spread her wings and do what she needed to do as well.”

Still, she admitted they’ve “always tried to talk through things” even when their public-facing friendship appeared to be over.

“Anytime something happened, good or bad, and I needed to call someone, it would always be her,” Jenner revealed.

Since they were spotted out for dinner together in Los Angeles in July 2023, Jenner and Woods have reunited several times, including inSeptember 2023 at a New York Fashion Week dinnerand in January at a Paris Fashion Week event.

Last month,they seemed to solidify that they are “back"as they posted a TikTok with Jenner’s other BFFStassie Karanikolaoulip-syncing to a clip ofKim KardashianfromThe Kardashians.

“Okay guys, we’re back,” Kim said in the audio, which Jenner, Woods and Karanikolaou all mouthed. “Did you miss us? Cause we missed you.”

Jenner is not the only one who is moving past her previous drama with Woods. On a May episode ofThe Kardashians, Khloé said in a confessional, “I definitely get frustrated with the whole narrative. That is something I would love behind us all.”

“They’re always pinning the girls against one another and there’s actually no beef. I hate that you have to choose Team Jordyn or Team Kylie,” Khloé, 40, said.

She told her younger sister she didn’t want her to “have regrets” about how things went down with Woods and that she “never had an issue” with them staying friends.

Of the alleged beef, Jenner said, “People don’t really understand how pure Khloé’s heart is. Her energy was always the same — you need to do what makes you happy.”

She also said that she and Woods have a “more healthy distance” in their friendship these days and they talk about once a month. “People know we’re cool and no one’s talking about it anymore.”
