Included in the tell-all book, of course, is Duff’s audition forLizzie McGuire, the show that would eventually make her a household name. Duff, 36, was from Texas and had only acted inCasper Meets WendyandDaddio(the latter of which had cut her role) at that point.
The candidates for Lizzie had been narrowed down to three actresses, including Duff. Her audition showed off her “casual warmth” which translated well to her acting, along with a “cool” factor that would be relatable to audiences.
