Margaret Qualley Reveals How Many Kids She Wants After a Year of Marriage with Jack Antonoff: 'I'd Be Thrilled'

In a new interview withThe Sunday Timespublished on Sept. 15,The Substanceactress, 29, revealed that she and the Bleachers frontman, 40, want to have children together someday — and she shared just how many kids she hopes to have.

“I’d be thrilled with two. I want one and then I want the other one to have a friend,” Qualley told the outlet. “My brother and sister are my best friends, so I can’t imagine not having that.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the actress — who splits her time between New York and the couple’s home in Long Beach Island, New Jersey — detailed the moment when the Grammy-winning producer popped the question to her in May 2022. As she now recalled, the proposal happened during the filming of her new movie.

“I was so excited that I tackled him and he cut his knee, and I flipped over a chair, but it was cute,” Qualley toldThe Sunday Times, also adding that on the day she met the musician, she wrote in her journal that she would marry him.

She also revealed a sweet anecdote about their wedding, when her older sister performed a rendition of Etta James' 1960 classic “At Last.”

“She’s confident in that regard. She was also drunk,” Qualley teased.
