Amid the New York baseball team’s winning record — which began on the night the beloved McDonald’s mascot threw out the first pitch at Citi Field on June 12 — the Mets organization has announced that Grimace now gets his own designated seat in the stadium.

“It’s been great to see how our fanbase created the Grimace phenomenon following his first pitch in June and in the months since,” Brenden Mallette, senior vice president of partnerships for the Mets said in a statement, according to theAssociated Press.

Mallette continued, “As we explored how to further capture the magic of this moment and celebrate our new celebrity fan, installing a commemorative seat ahead of fan appreciation weekend felt like the perfect way to give something back to the fans in a fun and unique way.”

Grimace’s designated spot — which is available for purchase for each of the Mets’ remaining home games — is located in row 12 of section 302 at the Flushing, N.Y. stadium. According to the AP, the seat’s location represents the June 12 date when Grimace’s good luck streak for the team began.

Andy Goldberg, Mets executive vice president told the outlet it’s been a “fun year” for the team amid their success in the regular season. “We’ve been playing great ball. Ever since the end of May, we have been crushing it."
