ForMiley Cyrus, her work and personal life are intertwined.
In a new cover story interview withHarper’s Bazaarfrom Wednesday, Nov. 20, the actress/pop star, 31, opened up about working with the people closest to her, which includes her boyfriendMaxx Morando.
During the conversation, Cyrus revealed that the Liily musician, 26, has been working with her on her forthcoming visual album and produced several songs and helped her write “Something Beautiful,” which is currently set to be the title track of the LP. Thanks to Morando, theHannah Montanaalbum now has “the coolest kid in Brooklyn’s music” on her phone.
For Cyrus, it’s natural to have her loved ones also collaborate with her.
“I worked with my dad forever. That’s how me and my ex-husband met each other," she said of her fatherBilly Rayand ex-husbandLiam Hemsworth, respectively.
Cyrus added: “I’ve always worked with the people that I love. And Maxx just inspires me so much.”
Her memory of seeing the classic rock film as a teen was the driving force behind the visual element of the record.
“We really leaned in,” Cyrus said. “And so I have this heart-first attachment to it. My idea was makingThe Wall,but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture.”

When it comes to the sound ofSomething Beautiful, the “Wrecking Ball” artist described it as “hypnotizing and glamorous.”
“It’s a concept album that’s an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music," she said.
Ideally, Cyrus hopes this album provides a healing quality to listeners.
