Ngatikaura, 32, has called herself the “grandma of the group” on the show, which follows the lives of eight women living in and adjacent to the Mormon community in Utah.

The new reality star has been divorced and remarried, and has a blended family with three kids. She owns a beauty school and extension company called JZ Styles.

“I grew up makingGood Bones,” she wrote. “I started in my 20s. I turn 40 this year. Most of my adult life was spent making the show.”

“I miss the real work,” she continued. “The fun. The pranks. The amazing relationships. The experiences I got to have that I never would have had if not for the show. 100% I miss it.”

The mother-daughter duo returned for aspinoffin August 2024 that focused on “new beginnings” as they embarked on separate projects in different states.

In the first episode of the limited series, Mina, who shares two children — son Jack, 6, and daughter Charlie, 4 — with husband Steve Hawk — transformed an Indiana lake house into a retreat for her young family.

In the other two episodes, Laine renovated a fixer-upper in Wilmington, N.C., to create her dream beach house. While she talked about retiring there on the show, she put the property on the market in October.

Mina previously revealed on her podcast,Mina AF,that there were tensions between her and her family during the original show’s final season. She said she wasn’t"in a great place"with either Laine or her brother Tad.

In June, Minashared on her podcastthat she had started to feel like the “weight” of the show was falling on her during the final two seasons.

“The stakes were so high,” she said. “It was all my money. It was my family’s money. It was my business’s success.”

The home renovation star launched her company, Two Chicks and a Hammer, with her mother in 2007. Laine stepped back from the company in 2019 but continued to appear onGood Bonesalongside Mina and their team.

She said someone suggested a show idea that “leans back into the olderGood Bonesmodel, maybe working with some of those people again.”

“I just think it would be a really bad decision for me, like, mentally and emotionally, let alone financially, to kinda get back in that place,” she said.
