While DiDonato adores being a mom and considers it a “privilege,” she admits that having a job she cares so deeply about comes with its challenges.

“The hardest part about motherhood for me is never being able to turn it off. No matter what I’m doing or who I am with, I am always thinking of my children,” she shares. “What should I be doing for them? What is coming up next? Do they need new clothes? Did I sign up for that after-school activity?”

DiDonato continues, “Being a mom is such a privilege, but it is a job that you cannot check out of. It is because you care so much and so deeply for your children, so you always want to do what is best for them, but sometimes you just want to be able to turn it off to rest or relax — but I have not figured that out yet.”
