North West Reveals Who Inspires Her Style — and It’s Not Her Mom Kim Kardashian

When it comes toNorth West’s style, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!
While speaking with her momKim Kardashianfor herInterview Magazinecover story, published on Oct. 11, North, 11, said that her dadKanye Westinspires her fashion out of her parents as she discussed her style influences.
“I like streetwear and ’90s. Tyler, the Creator; my dad; me!” North replied.
North is Kim and Kanye’s eldest daughter. The former couple, whodivorced in November 2022, also share three otherchildren: sonSaint, 8, daughterChicago, 6, and sonPsalm, 5.
North’s praise of her dad Kanye’s style comes as she has been seen rocking many looks borrowed from her dad’s capsule in recent months.
At the Kardashian-Jenner family’s annual Christmas Eve party last year, the 11-year-oldwore the rapper’s Balmain jackethe sported at the 2016Met Gala.
Kim explained onInstagramof North’s borrowed outfit at the time, “You know North went through the archives to pick her dad’s Balmain Met jacket,” adding, “Ifykyk.”

The style-conscious pre-teen also dressed up as a"Dropout bear" mascot from her dad’s 2007 albumGraduationin costume for Halloween in October 2023.
That same month, North revealed in an interview that she would like to take over as owner of her dad’s clothing brand Yeezy — along with her mom’s successful shapewear brandSKIMS.
In her first solo cover story fori-D’s Fall/Winter 2023 issue, the 11-year-old said, “…One day I want to own Yeezy and SKIMS, and I want to be a business owner.”

In her recent chat withInterview, North also revealed her plans to follow in her parents’ footsteps and start her own clothing line in the future.
“Well, I am starting my own clothing line,” she said as Kim asked, “And what are you going to call it?”
“North West,” North fittingly replied.
