Speaking alongside bandmatesJacob Underwood,Erik-Michael Estradaand Trevor Penick (plusJoey Fatone) on a panel at 90s Con 2024 in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Saturday, Sept. 14, Miller, 44, recalled a festival the group was performing in at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
“I was going to the bathroom,” he shared, “andJennifer Love Hewittwalked into the bathroom while I was handling my business and said, ‘Oh hi Dan.’ She knew who I was!”
“There were all these levels — we’re at the Rose Bowl, really hot celebs know who I am, I’ve made it!” he continued, adding with a nod to an O-Town hit, “It was a true liquid dream.”

By 2014, the four remaining members were touring and making new music again, most recently joining Chris Kirkpatrick, BBMak, LFO and Ryan Cabrera on thePop 2000 tour, which is currently running.
“It’s amazing,” Miller told PEOPLE on the red carpet at 90s Con the day prior to the panel. “We kind of live that life all the time.”
“The connection is different,” Penick, 44, added of interacting with audiences now. “Back in the day it was like, ahh! Now it’s more conversational. More of a connection.”
Estrada, 44, said he can’t believe how quickly the band’s 25 years together have flown.

“We see pictures of us with fans and we’re literally holding them in our arms. Then they come to the shows now and have kids of their own,” he shared. “It’s sort of a weird moment, like I’ve been on this planet for a long time.”
The fact they’re still touring, Underwood, 44, added, “we don’t take for granted. [Audiences] keep coming and we’re not stopping.”
However, Miller added with a laugh, “It physically feels different! We have to stretch before and after. I’m more winded than I was.”
