Olivia Rodrigo Appears to Rip Out a Chunk of Hair Onstage During Melbourne Concert

Olivia Rodrigohad a hair mishap onstage.

The 21-year-old pop star appeared to rip out a chunk of her hair while performing during her Guts World Tour in Melbourne, Australia, on Monday, Oct. 14.

The motion doesn’t appear to bother the star, which suggests that it was a hair extension and not Rodrigo’s actual hair.

“I hope that was a hair extension that she ripped out… " the TikTok user wrote over the video.

The Disney Channel alum has become known for her long, dark locks and hasn’t strayed much from her signature look over the years. In the 2024 music video for her song “Obsessed,” Rodrigo rocked choppy pixie bangs that instantly transform her into a punk princess.

During the same Melbourne show, Rodrigofell through a hole on the stageat the Rod Laver Arena.

Per fan-captured videos posted onXandTikTok, the “Deja Vu” singer crosses the stage and suddenly disappears into the hole, prompting the crowd to gasp and scream.

“Oh my God, that was fun! I’m OK,” the star joked while lifting herself back onto the stage.

After standing up, she quipped, “Wow, sometimes, there’s just a hole in the stage.”

”That’s alright,” the singer continued. “Okay, where was I? How’re we doing tonight, Melbourne?”

The Grammy winner laterposted a clip of the fall to her TikTokwith the caption, “#subtleforeshadowing.”

Rodrigo’s four remaining Sydney shows close out the 2024 Guts World Tour. It will resume in March 2025 as part of Lollapalooza in Argentina, Chile and Brazil and is also set to stop in Colombia for Festival Estereo Picnic. The tour ends in Manchester for Co-op Live on June 30 and July 1.
