“It’s just getting really competitive, especially on the guy’s side,” Finke tells PEOPLE at the Team USA House in Paris on Aug. 5, reflecting. “It’s insane the amount of diverse countries that have won medals. I mean, we got Romania, Ireland, all these countries are coming up and winning medals.”
“We’re not as dominant as we used to be, but at the end of the day, it’s a really good thing for the sport,” Finke, 24, says.

The men’s U.S. basketball team is one step closer to Olympic gold.
After the game, James, 39, told reporters, including PEOPLE, “We’ve got to continue to help each other spread the ball out and we’ll be in a great rhythm.”
The Lakers star went down after taking an elbow to the eye from a Brazilian player and left the court for the locker room.

No battle is too big onHuman vs. Hamster!
The hamsters and humans will take on challenges that “test their speed, strength, agility – and, of course, their eating prowess,” according to an official synopsis. The team that comes out on top will then enter into “an epic obstacle course – The Cage – where they must escape before the hamsters to win," per the synopsis.

Back in the ’80s,Tears for Fearswas on top of the music world. But despite the huge commercial success of three straight albums, singer and bassist Curt Smith was rather miserable.
“At the height of our fame was the unhappiest I’ve ever been personally,” the musician tells PEOPLE. “I mean, the lack of personal life, the fact that we were so young and didn’t really know how to say no, it was just not good for my mental health.
