According to multiple reports including theOak Ridger,WATEandWBIR, Sean Finnegan, 56, was convicted of multiple crimes including first-degree murder, aggravated rape and abuse of a corpse in connection with the death of Jennifer Gail Paxton, 35.
Prosecutors said Finnegan kidnapped Paxton in December 2019 and held her in his apartment in Oak Ridge. There, he repeatedly raped her and assaulted her before strangling her to death.

A Chicago man honored his late wife while playing the lottery and ended up winning a $650,000 prize.The lucky winner, identified as Big Money D, won the Lucky Day Lotto jackpot drawing on Nov. 16, after matching all five numbers – which were 9-11-12-13-17, according to theIllinois Lottery.“I’m still so shocked and excited about the win, I have barely been able to sleep,” he told lottery officials.

The seven people have not been charged in connection with the man’s death, which police believe was from natural causes.
“He was in a severe state of decomposition – it’s called mummification,” Detective Daniel Goduto with the Cobb County Police Department said, per the outlet.
Police determined Westbrook was likely in that state for three months and appeared to have died from natural causes, per Atlanta News First.

A 40-year-old man fell to his death while canyoneering at Zion National Park in Utah on Saturday, Oct. 5.
In a recentpress release, the National Park Service announced that the man was canyoneering with three other friends near the exit of Heaps Canyon when he had an “accidental fall” of between 150 to 200 feet.
The agency describes canyoneering on itswebsiteas “an outdoor activity that combines route finding, rappelling, problem solving, swimming, and hiking.
