Patrick Mahomeshad a hilarious comparison when talking about crafting a play withTravis Kelceduring Monday’s NFL game.
During apostgame press conferenceon Monday, Oct. 7, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback spoke about a lateral play Kelce completed during the Chiefs vs. New Orleans Saints game that ultimately led to the Chiefs' victory.
“I’m shaking my head because I told him before the play, I said, ‘I’m going to throw it to you so we can get into field goal range,’ " Mahomes recalled. “He underhand shoveled it across the field. It’s like I’m talking to Sterling.”
But he later laughed as he praised the Chiefs tight end, saying, “That’s Travis, man. He’s a special player. As long as he does it and it works, man, no one’s going to say anything.”
