Rachael Raytraveled a long way for a special reason.
Monahan shared a photo with Ray and Cusimano on the red carpet to her Instagram Stories on Sunday. “My favorites reunited! I can’t believe @rachaelray and @johnmcusimano traveled from ITALY," wrote Monahan. (The couple have a home in Tuscany.)
Ray reposted the Stories with three heart emojis.
Monahan announced her breast cancer diagnosis onThe Viewin 2019 andrevealed on the showthat she was cancer free three years later. She added in her Instagram post on Sunday that her “Grampa Eddie” wanted to “adopt” the couple. EddieraisedMonahan and she once paid tribute to him onThe Rachael Ray Showin 2021.
Ray has stayed busy nearly a year and a half after the end of her long-running show, which ended in May 2023.
Earlier in October, she appeared in good spirits as she worked the stage at the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival during her annual Burger Bash event.

The food festival appearance came as Ray revealed on her new podcast,I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead, that she “had a couple of bad falls” recently.
“I really like chores,” Ray said on the first episode, released Oct. 22. “I like what people consider physical work. I like making dinner, planning dinners, making lists. I love physical labor, helping carry in the wood.”
“I’ve had a couple of bad falls in the last couple of weeks, so I haven’t been doing that in a while,” she added.

The couple are based in New York, with anapartment in N.Y.C.and ahome upstatein Lake Luzerne that they rebuilt after it was destroyed in a fire in August 2020. They also spend plenty of time in Italy at their home.
Ray told PEOPLE in January that she’s “not really good with downtime” — a sentiment reflected in the title ofI’ll Sleep When I’m Dead.
“I love to work. I love it. I love to have my brain very active, and if I’m not writing shows, I’m drawing ‘foodles’ I call them — recipes on paper — and writing books and things,” she said. “I don’t like being idle. I’ve never been good at it.”
