Rebel Wilson Accuses Producers of Her New MovieThe Debof 'Theft, Bullying and Sexual Misconduct' in New Countersuit

Rebel Wilsonis firing back at the producers of her directorial debutThe Deb, months after theyfiled a defamation lawsuitagainst her.

In the complaint, Wilson’s attorney said that the trio deliberately misappropriated $900,000 in Australian currency from the movie’s budget, coerced her signature on agreements related to the movie under duress, and that Ghost sexually harassedThe Deb’s lead actress, which allegedly caused the person “to suffer a breakdown.” Wilson additionally claimed she has experienced “intimidation and bullying to silence her” from the three producers since October 2023.

Actress Charlotte MacInnes, who stars inThe Deb, released a statement in September saying “there is no truth to the allegations,” calling the narrative “fabricated.”

Wilson’s attorneys alleged in the new filing that the three producers attempted “intimidation and bullying to silence [Wilson] and evade accountability.”

Additionally, Wilson alleged that producer Ghost specifically “failed to disclose her extensive history of seedy practices and unethical behavior” before embarking on makingThe Debwith Wilson, and that Cameron, her husband, physically intimidated Wilson during their disagreements related to the movie.

Ghost, Gregor and Holden initially filed a defamation suit against Wilson in Los Angeles on July 12, after Wilson said they were attempting to prevent the film from world premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival, while accusing them of “bad behavior” on the movie’s set in a July 10Instagram video.

“This was a vindictive attempt to destroy [the producers’] reputations with what she knew were demonstrably false statements,” they alleged in the July 12 complaint.

Wilson herself called that lawsuit “rubbish” in anotherInstagram postshared that same day.

“Their real problem? Only a fraction of their outrageous conduct has been revealed thus far,” he added, claiming that allegations made in Wilson’s countersuit are “just the tip of the iceberg.” “In their desperation to shift the story, they neglected to consider that this strategy would only lead to RW’s filing of a cross-complaint which exhibits a plethora of their shocking misconduct which there are many witnesses to.”

Wilson’s countersuit was filed just two days before shemarriedpartnerRamona Agrumain a destination wedding in Sardinia, Italy, on Saturday, Sept. 28. The pairwent publicwith their romance in June 2022 andgot engagedon Valentine’s Day in 2023. They share Wilson’s daughterRoyce Lillian, whom Wilson welcomed via surrogate in November 2022.
