Reggie Bush Says ‘Everyone Is Safe’ After 3 Men Attempted to Break into His L.A. Home

On Tuesday, Sept. 10, Bush said three men attempted to break into his Encino, Calif., home, perLos Angeles Times. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) explained the details of the incident to the outlet, confirming that a resident of the home reported hearing a window break and broken glass was found outside.

The LAPD said that nothing was stolen during the attempted break-in and that there were three male suspects dressed in black who were spotted leaving the scene, per the outlet

In response to being asked about the scary incident, Bush sent a text message to theLA Timesconfirming that “everyone is safe.”

Back in 2005,Reggie Bushwas on top of the world after receiving the highest honor in college football, the Heisman Trophy. Just five years later the USC star running back was forced to give back the award.

In 2010, Bush gave up his Heisman Trophy following an NCAA investigation that determined he received money and goods from USC that were not allowed under NCAA rules, thus ruling him ineligible.

“We considered the enormous changes in college athletics over the last several years in deciding that now is the right time to reinstate the Trophy to Reggie,” Heisman Trust President Michael Comerford saidin a statementissued in April 2024.
