Today is gonna be the day that they’re gonna throw it back to… a 2023Matty Healyinterview?

Amid talk thatOasisis getting back together thanks toreports, rumorsand somesocial media teasingfrom bothLiamandNoel Gallagher, a resurfaced interview fromThe 1975frontman is now making waves on social media given his request for the group to “grow up” and “get back together” last year.

Healy’s February 2023 chat onQ with Tom Power is picking up some steam onX (formerly Twitter)amid the recent Oasis talk, as Healy previously made a “public service announcement” about the frequently feuding musical brothers.

“What are Oasis doing?” Healy asked of the band, which split in 2009. “Can you imagine being in potentially – right now, still – the coolest band in the world, and not doing it because you’re in a mard [UK slang for being in a sulky and petulant mood] with your brother?”

Healy then added that he could deal with the Gallagher brothers “dressing like they’re in their 20s and being in their 50s," but not “acting like they’re in their 20s."

“Stop marding,” Healy continued. “They’re like men of the people. And they’re sat around in, like, Little Venice and Highgate, crying over an argument with their brother. Grow up. Headline Glastonbury! Have a good time. Have a laugh.”

At the time, Healy’s PSA to Oasis apparently didn’t go over too well, as Noel toldSPINthat Healy was a “f—ing slack-jawed f—wit,” who “needs to go over how s— his band is and split up.” The 1975 frontman eventually responded to Noel during a show in Dublin, during which he reiterated his reunion plea.

“I love Noel Gallagher. We asked Liam to open up and he said he would have done it but he was busy. But I love Noel Gallagher, give it up for Noel Gallagher. He’s just getting on,” Healy said. “The difference between me and Noel is that I do a series of interviews to promote an album, whereas he does an album to promote a series of interviews. But we love you Noel, get Oasis back together!”

While Healy may not have been the deciding factor in whatever Oasis is teasing, the band did share acryptic poston X over the weekend, alluding to an announcement happening on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 8 a.m. Both Noel and Liam shared the same post on X.

The tease coincided with a story fromThe Sunday Times, which reported that fans may be able to catch the band in Manchester and London in the summer of 2025 for a string of performances.

At one point, a fan responded to the reunion rumors with the message, “been saying this and nobody believed me.”

“Same,” Liam replied, keeping his lips sealed until the apparent Tuesday announcement.
