Robert De Niro and Tiffany Chen Ride a Golf Cart Through Tribeca Film Festival Event in Portugal

On Friday, Oct. 18, De Niro, 81, and his partner, Chen, rode a golf cart through theTribeca FestivalLisboa in Lisbon, Portugal, where the New York City-based film festival held its inaugural international event over the weekend. De Niro and Chen, who share 1-year-old daughterGia, were seen smiling and chatting as they rode on the back of the vehicle as it went through the festival.

De Niro is a co-founder of Tribeca Festival in New York City; the actor said in a Septemberpress releasethat it “means a great deal to us to bring [the spirit of Tribeca] to Lisbon — a city bursting with renewed cultural and economic promise.”

De Niro and Chen’s appearance in Portugal comes nearly two months after the two-timeAcademy Awardwinnermarked his 81st birthdayon Aug. 17. The couple first met on the actor’s 2015 movie,The Intern, but they were not publicly romantically linked until August 2021, when they were seenvacationing togetherin France.

De Niro and Chen welcomed their daughter Gia Virginia Chen De Niro on April 6, 2023. Gia is the actor’sseventh child. He and his first wifeDiahnne Abbottshare daughter Drena, 56, and son Raphael, 47. In 1995, he welcomed twin sons Julian and Aaron, 28, with his former girlfriend, model and actress Toukie Smith. He also shares son Elliot, 26, and daughter Helen Grace, 12, with his ex-wifeGrace Hightower.

He and Chenrecently stepped out togetherin N.Y.C. in support of the release ofMegalopolisfrom his longtime friend,Francis Ford Coppola. On Sept. 32, they attended a screening of the film and De Niro took part in a question-and-answer session.
