Sean Kingston and His Mother Plead Not Guilty to Fraud Charges of Over $1 Million as They Demand Jury Trial

Sean Kingstonand his mother, Janice Turner, have pleaded not guilty on all counts to fraud charges of more than $1 million.

The judge did not alter the previously set $90,000 bond, the newspaper reported, according toAssociated Press.

“Once the true facts come out we are confident of vindication,” Robert Rosenblatt, one of Kingston’s attorneys, told PEOPLE.

Per the release, each defendant faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.

“Through the execution of this scheme, the defendants obtained in excess of $1 million in property,” said the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Florida.

Kingston was arrested on May 23in California after arrest and search warrants were served at the South Florida mansion he was renting.Earlier that day, his mother was arrestedin Florida.
