In the compilation video, Pam learns for the first time, that Jim had written her a letter as part of a Christmas present some years back. Due to the hit-and-miss nature of their beginnings, he had pocketed the letter and never given it to her.

In the show, the letter is purported to have expressed Jim’s feelings for Pam. In real life, however, it turns out Krasinski actually wrote a personal note to Fischer detailing what it meant to have worked together all those years.
