Simone Biles and Husband Jonathan Owens Show Off ‘Crazy’ Handshake After Coming Out as ‘Champs’ in Darts Game

Simone BilesandJonathan Owenscan add darts “champs” to their already impressive résumés.

TheOlympic gymnastandChicago Bears safetyenjoyed a night out with a game of darts that included a skillful shot to the bullseye and a celebration routine.

Upon winning their game of darts, Biles, 27, and Owens, 29, celebrated with their own unique and “crazy” handshake, which included slapping their hands back and forth before sealing their shake with a kiss.

Owens and Biles first met in March 2020 on the exclusive dating app Raya and began dating not long after.

“He would say I slid into his DMs,” Biles told theWall Street Journalin 2021. “I saw him and I was like, ‘Oh, he’s pretty cute,’ so I said hi … and then I saw that he was in the Houston area, so we started chatting a little bit, and then we went to hang out a week or two later.”

Owens, meanwhile, didn’t know who Biles was at first. “I just hadn’t heard of her, and when I told her that, that’s one of the things she liked,” he toldTexas Monthlyin June 2021.

Throughout their relationship, they’ve been supportive of each other’s athletic careers. Biles attends Owens' football games. In December 2021, she cheered Owens on when he made thefirst NFL start of his careerwhile on the Houston Texans.

Meanwhile, the NFL player attended the2024 Paris Olympics to cheer on his wifewherethe most decorated gymnast of all timetook homethree gold and one silver medal.

After dating for two years,Biles and Owen got engaged in February 2022andtied the knot in April 2023in a small courthouse wedding celebration in Texas.

The power couplecelebrated their love with family and friendsagain in Mexico the following month.
