“6 year old me would be proud 🥹🤎🤞🏾,” the gymnast captioned a set ofInstagram photoson Tuesday, Aug. 27.

In the first image, Biles sat in a white dress on a white photo shoot set, smiling as she bit into one of her many gold medals.

The Olympian went to Paris with seven medals, andreturned with 11, including gold in the women’s all-around and individual vault final. All of them appeared in the photo shoot — each of them neatly draped to show their splendor. In one of the three images, Biles let the medals have the spotlight to themselves.

At the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Biles faced some struggles, including acase of the “twisties,“which forced her towithdraw from several events, though she still managed to claim a bronze in balance beam, as well as a silver medal in the team final with her teammatesSuni Lee,Jordan ChilesandGrace McCallum.

Biles returned for the 2024 Paris Olympics, along with Lee, 21, and Chiles, 23, with the addition of Jade Carey and Hezly Rivera andsecured gold in the team finalfor Team USA.

During apress conferencethat PEOPLE was present for after one of the events at the Bercy Arena in Paris, Biles told reporters that she would have “had to Google” the news that she’d broken Miller’s record.

“I don’t keep count, I don’t keep stats,” she said. “I just go out here and do what I’m supposed to and I’m doing what I love and enjoying it, so that’s really all that matters to me.”

Biles continued, “Yes, it’s amazing, now that I hear it, but I don’t think I’ll truly understand the depth of it until I walk away from the sport.”
