Christine Brown’sdaughterYsabelis sharing some fears she has over her mom’s new relationship.In this week’s episode ofSister Wives, Christine, 52, moves into a house in Utah with her then-boyfriend David, causing her daughter Ysabel, 21, to share some reservations she has about her mom’s relationship. “Having met David, there’s so much change happening. And so she’s also changing a little bit, but only for the better,” Ysabel says in a confessional.The scene switches to a conversation between Ysabel and her mom Christine, who left her plural marriage to Ysabel’s dadKody Brown, 55, in November 2021. No one,” Christine responds. “If you need a dad figure, or a father figure, or someone like that, he’ll be whatever you need.“Back in her confessional, Ysabel explains that although she loves seeing her mom with David, she’s worried that the growing connection with her stepdad-to-be might impact her relationship with her dad.“I worry that my dad and the chance of having a really close relationship with my dad is slowly going away,” Ysabel explains.“She wants a dad big time,” Christine says in her confessional. “But she wantsherdad.”The scene shifts to Christine and Ysabel back at the Utah house, standing together outside.“He’s gonna be a great stepdad,” Christine says of David.“Yeah, but he can’t replace Dad,” Ysabel says. “He’s not trying to, right?”“Never,” Christine responds. “I’ve always wanted you guys to have a great relationship with your dad, a great one. So David coming in all that does is someone else to love. But replacing dad, no.”In her confessional, Ysabel elaborates on her fears, saying that at the end of the day, she just wants to be close to her dad again.“So I’m worried that my relationship with my father will be desolate, will not exist anymore because David will…” she begins, trailing off.“Actually I don’t mean to say that he would be that kind of person because he would only ever come into any situation with everybody else in mind and only with respect to everybody else as well. David like he comes off as a very present dad like with his children,” Ysabel says.“So I mean, how lovely would that be, right?
