Underneath the sheer ensemble, McRae wore a black Fleur du Mal bra and thong (unlike Spears who rocked a boy short). She paired the sexy outfit with Maison Ernest sandals and Jacob and Co jewels.

Due in part to her impressive choreography during performances (McRae got her start on the dance competition showSo You Think You Can Dance),McRae is often compared to Spears, 42.

At the time, McRae also shared that her music video for “Exes” took inspiration from “the greats, like Britney and Christina [Aguilera].”

McRae is nominated for two awards at this year’s VMAs; best pop (where she’s up againstCamila Cabello,Dua Lipa,Olivia RodrigoandTaylor Swift) and best choreography for her music video for “Greedy” alongside choreographer Sean Bankhead.

The singer made her VMAs debut in 2020 when she was nominated for best new artist (Doja Cattook home the award). Her second studio album,Think Later, was released in 2023 and features singles “Greedy” and “Exes.”
