Teddi Mellencamp Reveals Why She 'Cried' When Sending 3 of Her Kids Back to School

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave’skids are heading back to the classroom!

On Wednesday, Aug. 28, theReal Housewives of Beverly Hillsalum, 43, shared a few photos on herInstagramas her kids headed back to school. Mellencamp Arroyave shares her daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, as well as son Cruz, 10, with husband Edwin Arroyave. She is also stepmom to Arroyvae’s daughter Isabella, 15.

In one photo, all three siblings stand together, wearing matching white polo shirts and navy bottoms. Slate stands in the back, while her two younger siblings stand in front of her, with Dove adorably holding up two peace signs for the camera.

Mellencamp Arroyave also included a video of Dove leaving for school, following her as she watched to the front door, turned around and said, “Bye, I’m leaving for school!”

On Thanksgiving last year, Mellencampe Arroyaveshared some sweet and stylishInstagram photos of her family.

“This Thanksgiving we chose beige 🤣,” Teddi began in her caption, referring to the family’s fall-toned wardrobe. The reality star can be seen in a beige sweatsuit while her husband, 47, stayed warm in a tan coat.

Her caption continued, “So many things to be thankful for, but my family will always be top of the list.” she went on to note that they were missing her stepdaughter, but added that they “will be with her for Christmas.”

“Happy Thanksgiving from The Arroyaves,” the caption read. “What are you thankful for today?”

Over the past few years, Mellencamp Arroyave has been sharing her journey with melanoma and has undergone 16 surgeries to get the invasive skin cancer removed.

In late July, Mellencampshared the resultsofa skin checkshe had, where she said she had “2 more [spots] removed.”

“I got the results back at the beginning of this week and have been just trying to grin and fake it since the call because I was at an important horse show with Slate,” she said, referring to her daughter Slate, who is an avid horseback rider.

“I do in fact have another melanoma which means another surgery. Which means more hard conversations with my kids,” she wrote.

The news, she shared at the time, “means more of me trying to be positive but also feeling really sad.”
