Teen Mom's Javi Marroquin Reveals He Got Engaged to Lauren Comeau Last Year — with Help from His Kids!

Javi Marroquinis engaged.

TheTeen Momalum, 31, revealed that he popped the question to Lauren Comeau during a family trip to the Bahamas last year. The couple shared the news on Oct. 17 via ajoint Instagram postfeaturing photos and a video clip from the romantic moment.

Marroquin pulled off the surprise proposal — which took place in a park lined with palm trees at the Atlantis resort in Nassau — with an assist from his two sons. He sharesLincoln, 11, with exKailyn LowryandEli, 5, with Comeau. (The former reality star and Comeau also share daughter Maizee Joelle, 4 months.

The video clip included in the post shows Marroquin leading his now-fiancée to the proposal spot, where he had spelled out the phrase “Will U Marry Me?” using flower buds and petals. In one photo, Lincoln and Eli can be seen waiting with bouquets of red roses in their hands.

Other photos captured Marroquin down on one knee with a jewelry box in his hand and Comeau showing off her ring to Eli. The newly engaged couple and the two boys also posed for a family portrait, with the Atlantis Heartswing — a large red heart sculpture with a swing that has become a popular selfie spot at the resort — in the background.

Comeau captioned the Instagram post, “𝟷𝟶.𝟷𝟼.𝟸𝟹 💍❤️,” revealing the date of the engagement.

She and Marroquin first began dating in July 2017 before splitting that September. They later reunited and then welcomed Eli on Nov. 15, 2018, one day before Lincoln’s fifth birthday.

At the time, Marroquin shared an Instagram Stories post telling his followers he was shopping at Party City “because we do have a 5-year-old’s birthday we have to celebrate tomorrow,” referring to Lincoln.

“Firstborn is turning 5, getting him balloons now,” he added. “I’m going to go back to the hospital to hang with my new guy and Lauren and then I’m going to come back before Lincoln wakes up to wish him a happy birthday.”

“Christmas came early & we got our sweetest wish 💖,” they wrote, alongside a photo of a Christmas tree adorned with a frame-style ornament displaying an ultrasound photo. “Little sister coming this summer & we couldn’t be happier 🫶🏼.”

Several of the snapshots showed the proud parents holding their newborn, while one photo captured the brand new family of five posing together.

Marroquin captioned his post, “Love these pics so much it needs to be on the grid 😘.@lauren3elizabeth#datenight.”
