In November,Charlize Theron will be honored with the Giving Tree Awardfor her work on issues spanning from the prevention of gender-based violence and HIV among young people to LGTBQI rights and youth development.

Ahead of the honor, the organization hosted a volunteer session in New York City in support of its new initiative to combat the maternal health crisis. Celebrities such asCiara,Camila Alves McConaughey, andSalma Hayek Pinaultturned out to help assemble Maternal Health & Newborn Supply Kits filled with items for new mothers in need and their newborns, including diapers, hygiene products, breastfeeding supplies, postpartum care items, and educational resources, according to a release.
