The first trailer for the eighthMission: Impossiblefilm, titledThe Final Reckoning, shows glimpses of Cruise’s heroic IMF agent as he revisits the conflict that began in 2023’sDead Reckoning Part Oneand continues to fight against the sentient artificial intelligence “the Entity.”
“Our lives are the sum of our choices,” Cruise, 62, wrote onInstagramas he debuted the trailer. “Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning. See you at the movies May 23, 2025.”

The eighthMission: Impossibleinstallment beganfilmingin the U.K., Malta, South Africa and Norway in early 2022; production stalled in July 2023 due to the Hollywoodwritersandactors’ strikesand resumed in March 2024. The movie was originally calledDead Reckoning Part Two, but it dropped that subtitle in October 2023.
