On-screen,Tyrese Gibsonis used to living life in the fast lane, but at home, he enjoys spending time with his two kids, Shayla and Soraya.

TheI Wanna Go Theresinger welcomed his elder daughter, Shayla, with his first wife, Norma Mitchell, in 2007. The pair married that year and divorced in 2009. Fast forward, Gibson and Mitchell weregranted 50/50 custody of Shaylain 2017.

That same year, Gibson married Samantha Lee, and theywelcomed their daughter, Soraya, in 2018. They laterannounced their splitin 2020 after nearly four years of marriage.

Over the different chapters of his life, theTransformersstar has continued sharing about his daughters' milestones and how he includes them in his career. To mark her 14th birthday, Gibson posted a heartfelt tribute to Shaylaon Instagram.

“From the first day I held you in my arms I knew that everything about my life had changed forever,” he wrote. “I love you with my whole heart and I will stop at nothing for the rest of my life to let you know this.”

Shayla Gibson, 17

Gibson and Mitchell welcomed their daughter, Shayla Gibson, on July 11, 2007.

Despite her parents' high-profile divorce in 2009, Shayla has maintained a strong bond with her father, who has spoken openly about his love for her.

“She just really brought me up to speed on a lot of things that she feels like her friends would love to read about,so we wrote six books togetherand I’m getting all of the artwork done on it now,” Gibson told PEOPLE.

Years later, Gibson went all out for Shayla’s 16th birthday in 2023, ensuring the milestone birthday was a “legendary” event.

TheAnnapolisalum turned his front yard into a festival-style celebration, complete with a massive Ferris wheel that he proudly showed off in avideo posted on Instagram.

The father-daughter duo have made a few red carpet appearances together over the years, including the launch of the “Fast & Furious Supercharged” ride at Universal Studios in 2015. Shayla also accompanied her dad to the premiere ofAladdinin 2019.

After they attended the star-studded premiere ofFast 9in 2021, Gibson shared a photo of himself and Shayla on the carpet and opened up about his bittersweet feelings watching his elder daughter grow up.

Gibson and Lee welcomed their daughter, Soraya Lee Gibson, on Oct. 1, 2018.

After announcing Lee’s pregnancy earlier that year, the actor told PEOPLE, “Both of our love and energy and magic and families are bonded forever becausewe’re going to have this child.”

Gibson shared the joy of Soraya’s birth later that year on Instagram, describing the exciting personal moment.

“After embracing her love and joy for the last 2 weeks we decided to share our answered prayer,”he wrotein the caption announcing her birth. “We’re convinced that ‘God must have spent a little more time on her.’ ”

For Soraya’s second birthday in 2020, Gibson posted a series of photoson Instagramin tribute to his younger child, recapping the father-daughter duo’s “firsts.” He also opened up about Shayla and Soraya’s sibling bond.

“For the last 5 Christmas list’s [Shayla has] asked Santa for not just a sibling but a BABY SISTER and she got exactly what she asked and prayed for!” Gibson wrote.

In 2021, Lee revealed Soraya underwent a successful two-hour surgery at 3 years old. While the nature of the surgery was not disclosed, Lee mentionedin an Instagram postthat Gibson had been there to support his daughter through it all.
