In October 2024, Chamberlain and McPolandseemingly went Instagram officialwhen they dressed up as Wallace & Gromit from the British stop-motion animated comedy franchise for Halloween.

Chamberlain, who has been in the public eye since her rise to fame on YouTube, previously dated musician Tucker Pillsbury, known artistically asRole Model, for three yearsbefore their splitin October 2023.

McPoland, while known in the music industry, has maintained a relatively private personal life. However, his admiration for the internet personality became public in 2023 when McPoland called Chamberlain an “icon” during an interview on theZach Sang Showand compared her to his other idol,Bruce Springsteen.

McPoland was born in Vermont and later moved to Texas when he was 7, perCleveland.com. He was involved in theater throughout his school years but ultimately wanted to get more involved in the musical side of things, he toldChronin 2019.

“I find myself enjoying time in theater and spending time with friends, but whenever I’m in the recording studio with this new song, it’s the most fun I’ve ever had in my entire life,” McPoland told the outlet.

His passion for music started at 9 years old

McPoland has been involved in music since he was a child, starting with school theater and eventually transitioning into writing his own songs. At 14, the artist picked up a guitar for the first time and taught himself how to play, perColumbia Records.

“Both of my parents are very into music, and my father – a lot of my influences come from my father,’’ the musician said.

“I don’t cry much, I just write songs instead,” McPoland told Columbia Records. “I take whatever I’m going through, write it all out and put it in a point of view that rhymes. I don’t know if it fixes anything, but everything always feels a little better after that.”

During an interview on theZach Sang Showin November 2023, McPoland got candid about his admiration for Chamberlain.

“I’m a big Emma Chamberlain fan,” he said. “She’s an icon to me,” he added, noting he appreciates “what she’s done” in building her business.
