Gavin Casalegnohard-launched his relationship with his wife, Cheyanne Casalegno, on Instagram.

The Summer I Turned Prettystar shocked fans when he posted photos from hiswedding to Cheyanneon Instagram on Nov. 12, as he had never publicly confirmed their romance before. The couple have seemingly been dating since the spring of 2023.

In a June 2023 interview withCosmopolitan, Gavin reflected on the differences between his own romantic approach and that of his on-screen character, Jeremiah, whom he describes as keeping things “close to the chest.”

“Being an adult, I’ve learned what it means to just mature a little bit in the dating space; You’re dating to marry, you’re not dating to just date,“The Vampire Diariesalum said. “I think that gets lost a lot of times in younger generations.”

He continued, “I really try to be intentional with everything that I do as far as spending my time and gift giving and flirting and all these things.”

She is a registered nurse

Cheyanne graduated from Baylor University in May 2023 with a bachelor of science in nursing, per herLinkedInandInstagram.

“What an honor it has been to endure this journey with the Lord and be the first in my family to graduate college!” she wrote on Instagram.

She shared that she was looking forward to doing ministry and to “love on people in the medical field and bring the light of Jesus into dark places!”

That July, shepassed her board examsand officially became a registered nurse.

She and Gavin seemingly started dating in spring 2023

Although Gavin waited until their wedding to publicly share their relationship, Cheyanne had been soft-launching their romance on social media for months.

She started sharing photos of Gavin on herInstagram Storiesin the spring of 2023, later confirming this as the start of their relationship when she posted in celebration of their one-year anniversary.

For months, Cheyanne posted photos with a man who appeared to be Gavin, sharing them to an Instagram Stories highlight labeled with a white heart.

Although it’s unknown how they met, Cheyanne shared in the highlight aphotoof her and a mystery man holding two slushies, captioned, “where it all started.”

The same Stories highlight also includes clips of surfing trips together, beach sunset dates and flowers he had gifted her.

They announced their marriage in November 2024

On Nov. 12, Gavin announced on Instagram that he and Cheyanne got married.

He posted four photos in a carousel with the caption, “FOREVER CAPTIVATED BY YOU🕊️.”

“DID I MISS A COUPLE HUNDRED CHAPTERS????,” one user wrote. “THE GASP I GASPED!!!!!” another commented.

They’ve traveled internationally together

Over the past year, Cheyanne has shared several photos from trips abroad with a man who appears to be Gavin.

In September 2023, theyappearedto travel to Asia together. Later that month, she shared aphotoof her and a man holding hands in Italy together. Around the same time,Gavin posted several photos from Italian citiesas well.

Gavin has opened up about wanting to keep his love life private

Gavin may be the face of one of the most talked-about television love triangles, but he’s previously shared his desire to keep his real-life romance more private than his Hollywood one.

When asked in theCosmopolitaninterview if he would ever date a fan, Gavin replied, “probably not,” adding that he would “prefer dating someone who isn’t in the social media space at all.”

“I think that would lead to a lot less problems, to be blunt,” he said.

The actor opened up toShondalandin July 2023 about how his fame has made him learn to be more private.

“I had to really learn to navigate my own privacy and well-being,” Gavin said.

“The quick fix for me is just deleting Instagram and all these apps to kind of check out, to be with my family and be with myself, to spend some time with the Lord — that’s really where I thrive,” he added.
