“Jeremy is the one and only. And amazing. And we’re very happy,” Del Rey wrote on Instagram following the couple’s ceremony in Louisianna.

While the pair’s romance has certainly been a whirlwind, Del Rey and Dufrene have known each other for several years. The songstress posted pictures with the boat captain onFacebookas far back as 2019 after taking one of his wildlife tours.

Dufrene and Del Rey were firstromantically linkedin August 2024 after aReddit usersnapped a photo of the two eating lunch together in London. A TikTok user thenshared a brief video of the singerwalking hand-in-hand with a Dufrene at the Leeds Festival.

He is a captain at an airboat tour company

Dufrene is an airboat captain withArthur’s Airboat Toursin Louisiana. As a captain, he guides tourists through the swamps and marshes, offering an intimate experience with the local wildlife, including alligators, herons, egrets and over 300 species of birds, the company notes.

According to hisbio, Dufrene previously worked at a chemical plant but found his true calling as an airboat captain.

“He quickly realized that this was a great fit and he has never thought of going back to his previous career at the plant,” his bio states.

He’s a father

In addition to his work as an airboat captain, Dufrene is also a father. He has two daughters and a son from a previous relationship.

Del Rey and Dufrene have known each other for several years. In 2019, the singer posted photos on Facebook from an airboat tour she took with Dufrene, jokingly captioning one of the pictures, “Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours.”

The photos showed Del Rey on the tour with friends, including one shot of Dufrene assisting her in steering the airboat.
