WNBA Star Sophie Cunningham Wears Barely-There, Pre-Game Dress (and Her Teammates Think It's a Slam Dunk)

Sophie Cunningham’s latest gameday look is perhaps her most head-turning yet!

The WNBA star, 28, arrived at her latest game with the Phoenix Mercury in a statement look, holding onto summer with a colorful — and revealing! — mini dress.

Before switching into her jersey for a home game against the New York Liberty, the Mercury guard arrived at Phoenix’s Talking Stick Resort Arena in a water color-esque, off-the-shoulder dress with a thigh-high slit.

The dress also featured two abdomen cut-outs connected with an o-ring detail, which showed off some seriously bold bikini tan lines.

She paired the orange and teal mini dress with simply accessories, a pair of brown heels and sunglasses, and wore her hair down, her light blonde tresses bouncing as she walked into the arena.

In apostthe Mercury shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Aug. 26, they seemingly nodded to the fact that Cunningham’s steamy look evokedLove Islandcontestants’ style.

Alongside a video of her being photographed at Talking Stick Resort Arena, the Phoenix team wrote, “This week a hot new bombshell enters the villa.”

Cunningham also highlighted the outfit on her own socials. On her TikTok, she shared a before-and-aftervideotitled “POV WNBA WALK-INS,” which shows her before arriving for her game — rocking a T-shirt and messy bun — and then during the actual walk-in.

“Girly squirrel🐿️✨,” she captioned the post, and added the hashtags: “#fy #fashion #girls.”

DeAndre Hopkins, a wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans, wrote “Who r u???” while her teammate Rebecca Allen commented some emojis: “😍😍😍.”

Another fellow WNBA star known for her gameday looks, Olivia Nelson-Ododa of the Connecticut Sun, also gave her stamp of approval, writing, “Fireeeeeee.”

“Just fell to my knees at whataburger,” one wrote, while another commented, “🔥🔥🔥best game day fit to date!”
