Zoey Deutchhas some playfully choice words for herSet It UpcostarGlen Powell.

Asked how she feels about Powell’s recent success in romantic comedies likeAnyone But YouandHit Man, Deutch, 29, jokes, “Stop cheating on me, Glen!”

Speaking to PEOPLE backstage at New York’s Barrymore Theatre, where she’s currently starring in the Broadway revival of Thornton Wilder’sOur Town, Deutch makes it clear that she’s kidding.

But the close bond she formed with Powell, 35 — on screen in 2018’sSet It Upand off-screen — meansAnyone But YoustarSydney SweeneyandHit ManstarAdria Arjona(and evenTwistersleadDaisy Edgar-Jones, give or takea kiss) could be her competition.

“No, I’m extremely, extremely happy for him,” Deutch says with a smile. “And I know this has been said, but there is no one in this business who deserves it more than him.”

Powell “works so hard, he is so kind to everyone, and I’m just very happy for him,” she adds. “He deserves all the success, and we know there’s a lot more to come.”

Set It Up, from director Claire Scanlon and writer Katie Silberman, became a hit when it premiered on Netflix in 2018. CostarringTaye DiggsandLucy Liu, it told the story of two executive assistants to high-strung professionals who scheme to make a love match for their bosses — only to fall for each other.

Of course, the sizzling chemistry Deutch and Powell developed in the movie had fans wondering about the nature of their off-camera relationship. “It won’t happen,” quipped Deutch of dating her costar in a 2018interviewwith PEOPLE.
